TASK: After an analysis of needs and standardization of processes was conducted in the area of meter management, the technical realisation of the proposed workforce management system should be carried out.
IMPLEMENTATION: A system was developed that allows Feistritzwerke-STEWEAG to ideally support their workers out in the field. Through efficient possibilites of planning and operation trip routes were optimized and administrative tasks where minimized by avoiding media breaks.
A middleware layer based on Microsoft BizTalk Server even connects feeder systems like Navision, E2000, archive and GIS. The terminal equipment in the meter management department consists of PDAs based on Windows Mobile 6.
